Ohio Fracking: Earthquakes are Comparable to Tire Fires?

ELEVEN Earthquakes in and Around Youngtown Ohio tied to fracking operations.
Until 2011 - the Youngstown area had had NO earthquakes.

Kasich’s Response – PRO-BUSINESS (He’s such a good ALEC ALUMNI puppet!)

And here’s Kasich's official response which everyone is reporting – BUT no one is questioning.

A spokesman for Gov. John Kasich, an outspoken supporter of the growing oil and natural gas industry in Ohio, said the shale industry shouldn't be punished for a fracking byproduct.

"That would be the equivalent of shutting down the auto industry because a scrap tire dump caught fire somewhere," said Kasich spokesman Rob Nichols.
Comparing a tire fire – to earthquakes.
REALLY?
An earthquake and a tire fire are comparable,  Really?????

So hypothetically -
If you saw a tire fire – would you EVER in your right mind compare it to an earthquake?

Who in the hell gives these people their talking points?
AND  - why, WHY -  don't people (aka reporters)  confront stupid remarks like this one  rather than just reporting them.  A simple question - Do you really think tire fires are comparable to EARTHQUAKES?

WTF????

If you have 24 minutes - watch this video from PBS about the documentary "Gaslands" - at least watch it through minute 7:30.

And YES - the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC) has a resolution for that

AND the Natural Gas Supply Association  IS AFFILIATED WITH ALEC!

Absolutely - we should hand over power to the states  and not the EPA - NOT
(listen specificaly to the video between minutes 11:30 and 14:10)
