A Monkey Proves Inequity in the Workplace and Life

I don't tweet or FB
(wish there was another way to communicate with some of the friends I have made out there.)
But I do lurk in those places looking for stories.

Found this one this morning and it is too good not to share.

It is about fairness and perceived equity.
They talk about equity in the work place
- but equity does not exist in corporate America, never has, never will
- Real life is he/she who kisses butt the most gets the most
(unless you are lucky enough to work in a union shop).
- and management is so damn dumb - they think we don't notice.

It's 2 1/2 minutes and it proves a very important point.

Wish I could throw my cucumber back once in awhile
- can't remember the last time I got a grape.

A young pet monkey had an accident and needed a brain transplant. The veterinarian told the monkey's human family, "Brains are very expensive, and you will have to pay the cost yourselves."

"Well, how much does a brain cost?" asked the family.

"For a male brain, $500,000. For a female brain, $200,000," replied the vet.

All the men in the family nodded because they thought they understood. But the mother was unsatisfied and asked, "Why the difference in price between male and female brains?"

"Standard pricing practice," said the vet. "The female brains have to be marked down because they’ve actually been used!".
