RNC / ALEC Connection Could Destroy RNC

Been thinking about this all week.
RNC going to ALEC for help. That is definitely going to reunite and build the party - hah!

Earlier this week, we had this report on the RNC (my emphasis):
Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) released its wide-ranging “autopsy” report in response to the party’s disastrous 2012 elections. The report, entitled “Growth and Opportunity Project,” outlines a variety of policy recommendations including, among other base ideas, abolishing campaign spending regulations and contribution limits. In the report, the RNC specifically calls on ALEC to help develop and implement model legislation to “improve” these campaign finance laws.

The RNC places ALEC alongside the Republican State Leadership Committee (RSLC) and the RNC as an organization that is well-suited to “improve” campaign finance laws and propagate them nationwide:

Where else to go to destroy democracy – ALEC
ALEC claims power
Over 2000+ state legislators and government officials
    and 89 members of Congress
Why wouldn’t the RNC go to ALEC?

Then today:

The fact the RNC would cite ALEC as a possible leader in model legislation seems odd enough, considering the overarching goal of diversifying the party’s voter base. But the report lists only the RNC and the Republican State Leadership Committee as additional examples of organizations who could lead the model legislation effort—raising ALEC to the level of an equal.
BUT
Where else to go to destroy the RNC – ALEC
What better way to ensure the total destruction of the RNC?

I guess if you are really intent of destroying the RNC brand
- hook up with ALEC - noted as a "brand failure" in 2012

If you are really intent on destroying the Republican party
 - hook up with ALEC - under three IRS complaints.

If you are really intent on destroying the Republican party
 - hook up with ALEC and piss off more moderate Republicans.
As one right-winger put it: RNC to Moderate Republicans: GTFO

The Republican Party joins forces with the ultraconservative, right-wing, extremist American Legislative Exchange Council.

What better way to ensure the total destruction of the RNC?
Even Redstate is asking the question
