SCOTUS: Its OK if Generics Kill You

According to Mike Papantonio - 70% of Americans use some type of pharmaceutical on a regular basis.

According to the NY Times - 80% of those pharmaceuticals are generics.

According to the Supreme Court - in a decision last week - generic brand pharmaceutical companies
   can maim you
   can blind you
   can kill you
can cause the skin on your body to disintegrate
can sterilize you or your children
can cause damage to your unborn child
And there is nothing you can do about it.
Nothing! Nada! Zip!

Consumers grievously harmed by generic drugs may find it virtually impossible to win compensation for their injuries as a result of a Supreme Court decision issued on Monday. By a narrow 5-to-4 margin, the court overturned lower court rulings that had awarded a New Hampshire woman $21 million for pain and suffering and other damages.

The decision leaves little recourse for people harmed by generic drugs, which now account for more than 80 percent of all prescriptions. It is imperative that the Food and Drug Administration write protective regulations holding generic companies liable for any harm their products cause.

The Supreme Court sided with corporations.
The Supreme Court gave the generic drug companies a HUGE gift.

The Supreme Court did NOT side with consumers.

According to the SCOTUS
YOU have NO RIGHT to life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness
because
THE drug companies’ need for profit is more important.

YOU no longer have any recourse against generic drug companies.
How does that make you feel - while you pop that generic in your mouth today?

Take a minute to watch this video and let Mike Papantonio explain it to you.
